These terms outline important details about your booking and payment process. By making a payment via bank transfer or our online payment link, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.


Confirmation Email / Proof of Booking

  • Once your driving test is successfully booked, you will receive an email confirmation directly from the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency). This serves as proof of your booking and includes all relevant test details, such as time, date, and location.
  • Any changes to your test, such as cancellations or reschedules by the DVSA, will also be communicated to you directly by email or phone.
  • In some cases, we may request that you retrieve the DVSA email confirmation yourself. This is a straightforward process:
    1. Visit the DVSA Login Page.
    2. Log in using your driving licence number and booking reference.
    3. Update your contact email in the "Candidate Details" section.
    4. You will receive the confirmation email within 5–10 minutes.
  • It is crucial to update your contact email to ensure you receive any notifications from the DVSA regarding your test. Please share a screenshot of this email with us once it arrives.
  • You can access proof of all your bookings at any time through the DVSA website.

Payment Methods

We offer two convenient payment methods to suit your preferences:

  1. Bank Transfer:

    • This is our preferred payment method as it is quick, secure, and allows us to process your booking efficiently. Payment details will be provided alongside these terms and conditions.
  2. Online Payment Link (via Stripe):

    • Our online payment option accepts major payment methods, including:
      • Debit and Credit Cards
      • AMEX
      • Apple Pay
      • Klarna: Allows you to spread your payment over 3–4 months interest-free, providing flexibility for those who prefer installment payments.

Returning Customers: For our loyal customers, we offer the option of payment after confirmation. If you’ve booked with us before, this option may be available upon request.


Refund Policy – Speed Booking UK

We are committed to providing a clear and transparent refund policy to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind.


You may notice a random test date on your license

This is standard procedure. Our booking system temporarily books a placeholder test before swapping it for your preferred date. If you see a random test, please leave it as is otherwise the booking will fail!


Refund Options for Unsuccessful Bookings

If a booking is unsuccessful after submission, we offer two options:

  1. Full Refund: We will issue a 100% refund immediately, with no questions asked.
  2. Rebooking Option: Alternatively, we can keep your licence details on our system and continue searching for a test date at a similar time that suits your preferences.

While occasional booking failures may occur due to the DVSA system or availability, rest assured that we will always refund 100% of your payment promptly.


Refunds for Cancelled Tests

If your test is cancelled by the DVSA or you (the customer), the following refunds apply:

  • £62 for weekday tests
  • £75 for weekend tests

Please note that administrative fees are non-refundable, as these cover the cost of securing your test slot through our system and agency partnerships.


Important Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel your booking, you must inform us before the DVSA’s last cancellation date, which will be noted on your booking confirmation.
  • After this date, cancellations are no longer eligible for a refund as per the DVSA’s policies.
  • If you wish to change your test date, please message our admin team promptly to assist you before the cancellation deadline.

Accuracy of Information

To ensure a smooth booking process, it is essential that you provide accurate information when completing your booking, including:

  • Driving Licence Number
  • Theory Test Number
  • Full Name and Contact Details

Even a small error in these details can result in a failed booking. In such cases:

  1. We will issue a full refund for the booking.
  2. If possible, we will attempt to secure an alternative test date.

Please note that rebooking may incur an additional fee as we bear the cost of failed bookings due to incorrect information.


Test Swapping / Existing Test Bookings

If you already have a test booked and wish to upgrade to our fast-track service, here’s how it works:

  • The DVSA allows only one test booking per candidate at a time. To secure a fast-track test through us, we will need to cancel your existing test.
  • The refund for the cancelled test will be processed directly by the DVSA and typically takes 2–5 working days to reflect in your account.
  • For smoother processing, we recommend that you cancel your existing test before booking with us. This minimizes delays and ensures we can secure a new test slot for you as quickly as possible.

Additionally, we work with one agency that can manually call the DVSA and swap your test without cancelling the original. In this case, you will pay all applicable admin fees as usual, minus the DVSA fees already paid for your original booking. This ensures a seamless transition to your new test date.


Can I Change My Test Once Booked?

The ability to change your test depends on the agency through which we secured your booking. Some agencies allow test swaps, while others do not. If you anticipate needing flexibility, please:

  • Confirm with our admin team whether your booking allows changes before finalising.
  • Be aware that swapping fees range from £30–£70, depending on the agency’s policy.

Time Frame for Confirmation

  • Typically, you will receive booking confirmation within a few hours of making payment.
  • During weekends, bank holidays, or periods of high demand, confirmation may take up to 48 hours.
  • Rest assured, our admin team will keep you updated throughout the process and provide support if there are any delays.

Automatic vs. Manual Tests

  • All test bookings through Speed Booking UK are valid for both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • If you pass in a manual car, you will be licensed to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • If you pass in an automatic car, your licence will only permit you to drive automatic vehicles.

External Factors & DVSA Changes

  • As an intermediary, Speed Booking UK facilitates bookings through the DVSA. However, the DVSA manages test operations, and changes such as cancellations, reschedules, or examiner availability are beyond our control.
  • If your test is rescheduled, the DVSA will automatically rebook you within 30 days. For further adjustments, you may need to contact the DVSA directly.
  • By using our service, you agree that Speed Booking UK is not liable for changes initiated by the DVSA.

After Failing a Driving Test

If you fail your test, the next booking must be at least 10 working days after the failed attempt.

  • Tests scheduled within this timeframe will not be processed.
  • Speed Booking UK may incur charges from agencies for invalid bookings, which may result in additional fees of £10–£30 for the customer.

Why Do Prices Vary?

Our fast-track driving test prices start from £190, including VAT & DVSA fees. The final price may vary based on:

  • The test date and test centre.
  • Agency charges associated with securing your booking.
  • Special circumstances, such as high-demand periods or last-minute bookings.

As of 1st October 2024, VAT is applied to all prices in compliance with UK guidelines. This ensures our services meet regulatory standards.

Booking a Manual Test After Passing in an Automatic Vehicle

If you’ve previously passed your driving test in an automatic vehicle and now wish to take a test for a manual licence, the process is more complex and cannot be booked through our standard services.

How to Book

  • You cannot use the standard test dates posted in our WhatsApp group for this type of booking.

  • One of our team members will handle your request individually and provide guidance on the next steps.

Special Process and Costs

  • For this type of booking, we must contact the DVSA directly to perform a manual booking over the phone.
  • This process is more complex, and finding specific test dates and centres can be more challenging. Therefore, customers will need to remain flexible with their preferences for test centres and dates.

Pricing

  • Prices for this service start at £230 and may go higher depending on the test date, location, and agency charges.
  • This higher cost reflects the additional work required to secure a manual test booking through the DVSA.
